Biography
Pauline Hughes is a salaried Judge of the Employment Tribunals. Prior to taking up a full time judicial appointment, she was Head of Legal Services for the Disability Rights Commission (“DRC”), and was involved in many leading cases in the employment field, including Archibald v Fife Council (HL). She was also involved with leading cases brought under the goods, facilities and services provisions of the DDA such as Ryanair v (1) Ross and (2) Stanstead Airport Ltd (CA). Pauline also co-authored statutory Codes of Practice and has written articles for many legal publications. Pauline also sits as a Judge of the County Court for approximately four weeks per year and, as part of that role, determines goods, facilities and services cases.
